“Excuse me; I’m trying to eat here!”
The past couple of years have seen food photography grow increasingly popular, partly spurred through the increase of smartphones. Simply logging on to Instagram brings up hundreds of images of food from around the world – even celebrities are at it. Food blogging is now a career for many people and you will often see plates of food being captured by professional photographers, using high-quality cameras, in restaurants.
Despite its popularity, it is an annoyance to some. Some restaurants and eateries have even banned food photography from their establishments, claiming it is disruptive to other diners.
What do you think? We don’t see a problem if it’s done every now and again but if it’s taking up the whole of your mealtime; we’d loosen up on it!
